Saveetha prosthodontics department always has the vision to put their students one step ahead.
This year it sent 1st year post graduates for a student exchange programme to Faculty of dentistry, Mahidol University, Bangkok for maxillofacial prosthesis training program, which is very renowned for its work in this field.
Our post graduate students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and enhance their skills under the highly skilled and experienced faculty members of the university. They have successfully finished the course and have a better understanding of the latest techniques and practices to plan and fabricate various maxillofacial prosthesis.
The students also went for one day training at K-dental lab in Bangkok as well as for a three day observership to Chulalongkorn University.

BPS - Certification, Ivoclar®, Switzerland
Saveetha prosthodontics is the only program in India that offers training in BPS® Denture System. Training session for this premium denture technique usually coast between 4-6 lakhs. Each MDS (prosthodontics) graduate from our department is provided equipments and materials to complete 15 BPS dentures that is 3 times the requirements for a global certification. Our postgraduates have successfully completed certification in Switzerland since 2015.

Our Postgraduate students Dr. Sathvik, Dr. Vaishnavi , Dr. Saloni and Dr. Simone were a part of training for Maxillofacial Prosthetics in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, U.K.
Externship - University of North Carolina, Chapel-Hill, USA (October 2018)
Our students participated in the UNC student externship program where they completed 8 weeks fo treatment planning and discussion based training. Our students were really thrilled to observe and discus complicated cases trained by UNC graduates. Furthermore, they also reported that they were proud to have dome more full mouth rehabilitation cases than UNC graduates.
